My favourite go-to supplement, which has proven to be a game-changer in managing my patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) and other digestive concerns is...drum roll please...
Emulsified Oregano Oil: A Powerful Ally Against IBS and SIBO
One of the main players in my digestive wellness arsenal is emulsified oregano oil (also known as ADP by Biotics). This herbal powerhouse has wide-ranging antimicrobial properties, making it a natural solution for tackling unwanted bacteria, parasites, and yeast that can disrupt the balance of the gut microbiome and trigger a range of discomforting gut symptoms.
Emulsification Is the Key
What makes the emulsified version of oregano oil stand out is its ability to bypass the stomach's acidic environment and deliver heightened activity upon reaching the small intestine - where the harmful microbes commonly reside. This targeted delivery ensures that the active compounds, particularly Thymol and Carvacrol, maintain their full potency and can exert their maximum antimicrobial strength.
If you’ve previously tried oregano tinctures or traditional capsules, it’s important to note that they won’t provide nearly the same level of effectiveness as emulsified oregano oil (ADP). Standard formulations often lose potency in the stomach, which reduces their ability to reach the small intestine where they are most needed.
Anti-inflammatory
Beyond its antimicrobial effects, ADP also offers significant anti-inflammatory benefits. Chronic inflammation in the gut can exacerbate IBS symptoms like bloating, cramping, and discomfort. Oregano oil helps to calm inflammation, promoting a more balanced and soothed digestive tract.
For those suffering from IBS, SIBO, or any digestive issues the inclusion of emulsified oregano oil as part of a holistic approach can provide relief from symptoms such as gas, bloating, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. It’s a powerful yet natural way to support gut health, reduce bacterial overgrowth, and restore balance to your microbiome.
Oregano oil is is highly versatile
For my patients who are highly sensitive or have mild gut symptoms, ADP at low doses can be very well tolerated and effective. Alternatively, my patients with long-term and more severe gut symptoms often achieve success with higher doses.
However, as with any supplement, it’s crucial to approach it with care. Consulting a healthcare provider before adding emulsified oregano oil to your regimen is important.
In conclusion, ADP is more than just a supplement, it's a robust tool in the fight against gut imbalances. Its ability to target the small intestine, combined with its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, makes it a cornerstone in my therapeutic strategy for IBS and SIBO management.
I'm excited to share that my supplement is now available directly on my website shop.
